Figuring out your ring size or necklace length

Figuring out your ring size or necklace length while at home from COVID can be difficult, but not impossible! And never fear, DMG Designs rings have 1 free sizing or exchange, so it's okay if it's not perfect. My rings are measured using the US Ring sizing system, if you know your size in another country, use my international sizing chart below. Or you can use one (or all) of the methods below to figure out your size.

How to measure your ring size at home

Before you begin taking your measurements, pick the finger on which you want to wear your ring. The fingers on your dominant hand tend to be larger than those on your non-dominant hand, so keep that in mind when measuring for your ring size.

Ensure that your finger is at its normal size before taking a measurement. Cold weather can cause your fingers to shrink a bit, while heat or water retention caused by food, medications, or illness can cause finger swelling.

• You can measure your ring size using either string or ribbon. Take one of these and wrap it around the base of your finger, marking where the string or floss overlaps with a pen. Then, line that up with a ruler and take down its length and use the chart below to find your US Ring Size. Make sure to not pull the string too tight, as it should be a comfortable fit.

• Use the printable guide to cut out and measure your finger use the slide tool, or measure and existing ring use the hole cutouts. Just be sure to click the link and print sized at exactly 100% to ensure proper size.
